Our Purpose
The helping profession is a highly stressful environment and there are few opportunities to process the stress, which is one reason for high turnover rates in the field. Additionally, quality clinical supervision is a rare resource that is expensive and difficult to get. Because of short staffing and high client loads, many supervisors carry the same stress load as their staff. Having the opportunity to process the stressors in the field with someone who has been through similar experiences helps staff cope with the taxing environment. We, as an industry, need to support one another as agents of change. We believe that we can begin the process of healing and build resilience regardless of ability to pay. Those who achieve a level of well-being have the capacity to support peers who might be struggling. Only together can we work to make society and the communities around us healthy and whole.
Our Mission
Sage Life Consultants is dedicated to helping prevent burnout and vicarious trauma for those working on the front line in social services, mental health, addiction recovery, and community health workers.
